Rakhu Newa Guthi lAKHE dances in Kathmandu
Our Rakhu Bhagwati, Hatiya Basi Newars have a separate identity, Janapurnima, Nag Panchami, Harelo etc. We have been doing lakhs of dances on festivals. It is a matter of fear for all of us Rakhu Basis to know. But happier than that; Recognizing the identity of Rakhu Basi, the Newar castes who have come to Kathmandu from Rakhu Hatia for various professions, trades and studies in Kathmandu have formed a committee called "Rakhu Newa: Guthi" to preserve their identity and traditions. It has been doing programs to exchange happiness and sorrow. In the same order, Rakhi Neva of Dekhiya in Nag Panchami: Lakhs of dances performed by Guthi, boys of Rakhu Hatiya, a resident of Kathmandu in the guise of Jogi, Naga, Lakhs.
