OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME
The objective of the WHO Country Office for Nepal is to implement the Country Cooperation Strategy by supporting the Nepal Government in the formulation, implementation and evaluation of national health policies, strategies and plans and developing and managing WHO’s technical cooperation programmes at the country level. WHO provides guidance and technical support in organizing the humanitarian health response and in revitalizing the capacity of the health sector through strengthening health systems under new governance of federalism, recover from emergencies in appropriate and sustainable way. The mission of WHO’s Health Emergencies Programme (WHE) is to help countries, and to coordinate international action, to prevent, prepare for, detect, rapidly respond to, and recover from outbreaks and emergencies. The specific position will support the delivery of a full range of logistics and operations services for the emergency preparedness and response readiness and post-emergency response surge and recovery activities of the WHO Health Emergency Programme in Nepal.

Education
Essential: University degree from a recognized university in Administration, Management, Social Sciences or related fields.
Desirable: Advance University degree in any discipline will be an added advantage. Recognized/validated Logistics Training courses, especially in stockpile management, procurement and supply chain will be an advantage.
Experience
Essential: At least one-year experience in the delivery of health logistics support to emergency operations with focus on field operations or project management.
Desirable: Experience in governmental or intergovernmental organizations, institutions or NGOs including deployment experience at international level would be an advantage.

REMUNERATION
> Remuneration comprises an annual base salary starting at NPR 2,353,227 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance, as applicable) and 30 days of annual leave.
